Gordon Ooley, my collaborator on Emergence, has completed the first draft of a sequel with the working title Portals. Always the greatest of storytellers, Gordon moves the Shaman and the spiritualist from Emergence through time travel to the land of the ancient Mayans where they influence both historic and imaginary characters. The ending of Portals and the ending of Emergence form a perfect circle.
I have already begun the rewrite and anticipate a final draft that satisfies both of us to be completed next summer, just in time to capitalize on the release of Emergence.
